Nutella Cookies?

July 8th, 2009

Nutella Alfajores

I’m embarrassed to admit that I’d never made Alfajores…. until now. And why I never made them before this is beyond me.

I’d heard of them off and on over the years, but they just never jumped up and said “bake me“! So I didn’t. What a mistake! These cookies are absolutely cookieliscious! That’s my new word, by the way. “Cookieliscious”. Can’t seem to stop saying it.

Now, I’m not much of a coconut fan, so I coated the nutella with powdered sugar. Man, were they good! You just have to try these!

Side note: I would like to know just why I can’t find sugar free Nutella anymore? I used to buy it all the time at Cost Plus Imports, but I’ll be darned if it’s anywhere to be found these days. Was it not a good seller? It sure isn’t because of the taste. It was just as good as the regular version. Frustrating. Does anyone know the answer to this? If you know where I can get some, I will bake and send you a batch of these cookies myself! (So long as I don’t get 500 responses… ehem…)

Anyhoo, give these wonderful treats a try. You will NOT be disappointed.

Happy Baking!

I hope you get a response about sugar-free Nutella, that stuff is addicting.

I would feel soooooooooo less guilty putting it on fresh apple slices.

I am going to have to try this recipe.
